BerconMaps

BerconMaps is a 3rd party texture plugin for Autodesk 3ds Max. It adds five new prodecural texture maps: Noise, Wood, Tile, Distortion and Gradient.

error code 193 Max 2023.1

hi, I have installed on 3dmax 2023.1 and it shows same window. have windows 10, also have installed latest Visual C++. Im doing something wrong

Bercon Tiles

Hi,

Is it possibel to expose the "pattern" drop dow list. to be able to control this with a controler within a more complex material structure?
This would be much appreciated

Missing header-Files in BerconCommon.h

Hi,

at first thank You for Your work.

I want to compile this solution in VS2015/VS2017 but there a many missing files in BerconCommon.h.
Will there be a updated .sln for download with all the files or have I done something wrong?

BerconMaps_2023_64.dlt failed to initialize (Error code 193) - SOLVED

Hello,

after downloading BerconMaps_2023_64.dlt and placing the file in 3ds max 2023 plugins dir, max starts with the error 193 - %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
I am using Windows 11 (with latest Visual C++ redistributable installed), and 3ds max 2023.
Any ideas please?

[Feature Request]: Legacy Map Parameters for BerconTile

Is it possible to bring back the "Map Parameters" for tile width/height/etc. as in older versions of BerconMaps, or is there a good reason for that functionality having been removed in later versions? That amazing feature made BerconTile a very powerful prototyping tool for architectural design!

Additional Params Names Issue

In 3ds Max Slate Material Editor, when enabled show additional params - the names of parameters doen't correspond to those which are showed in edit for example: mapping angle Z - name is Fractal Type, mapping angle Y - name is High Treshold, mapping angle X - name is Noise Size. Several parameters are named ">>>@!&*#<<<"

Can this be fixed, or this is not Bercon Tile error?

Simplex noise not renderfarm safe

The simplex 3D function seems to misbehave somewhat between render machines, seemingly finding new random values each time, especially where XY coordinates < 0.

Bump invert

bump chanal inverting in color slot 2 if random 90 180 and flip tiling, the straght texture is fine but when roteted o fliped, bump inverted.

Request updated SLN

I'm unable to compile this on my end, wondering if I'm missing something in the SLN settings...

Would someone be so kind as to upload the sln and project files for Max 2020?

3dsmax 2022 error

for some reason on 3dsmax 2022 i get this error, is there something i need to install, like a library or its a bug?

BerconMaps not found

Sorry, this might be a noob question. I am new to 3D and I took over a project that used BerconMaps before. I installed the 2020 dlt to my Plugins-Folder, but when starting up the project, I receive a Missing Dlls message (attached).

Not sure what's the problem here. I tried googling, but haven't found anything. Renaming the 2020-file to 2010 did not work either. Any nudge or hint is highly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Compatibility with 3ds Max 2025

This plugin needs updated to be compatible with 3ds max 2025. If you try to use the 2024 version, you'll get this error.

"DLL <C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2025\PlugIns\BerconMaps_2024_64.dlt> is not made for this version of the program - not "

Tile Random offset

In the BerconTile material->Tile UV Mapping->Random Offset [+/- X] & [+/-Y] the two values seem to be linked together for rendering and preview, though not linked in the interface. The "x" offset seems to control both values while the "y" offset seems to be inactive.

Problems with Windows10

Even after installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (and after rebooting obv.) Max will start with an error. Any chance to fix this? I'd love to use berconmaps with my new system
