• Check standalone flavor
• Check support for PORTABLE_ENDIAN_NO_UINT_64_T (can't check for _NO_UINT_X_T with X != 64)
• standalone AND "no uint64"

foo:
    if ${FOO_CHECK} ; then echo Yay ; fi

This works fine with GNU make, but not BSD make.

Find a different way to do it.
