laravel-embed's Issues

changing x-embed

Thanks for the this package. I suggest replacing x-embed with oembed. This may help to many developers.

For example, CKEditor's MediaEmbed plugin returns an oembed tag. We must either to write javascript code or use "embed.ly" like services to convert it into responsive html.

Compatibility PHP 7.3

Hi Ben, what happened if this package running under php73? My environment's webapp running on Laravel8.0, and using php 73, so composer unable to install this package.

Support for New Vimeo Format for Unlisted Videos

Now Vimeo has a new URL format for Unlisted Videos.

From vimeo website:

Note: When you change your video's privacy settings to Unlisted, an extra set of numbers - what we call the privacy hash - will be added at the end of your video's URL, and must be included in order for embeds to work. Link

Therefore, the new URL of unlisted videos looks like this:

https://vimeo.com/823141156/90e6d75118

and the new embeddable URL is:

https://player.vimeo.com/video/823141156?h=90e6d75118

Please make this fantastic component compatible with this change.

Laravel 6

Will this definitely not work with Laravel 6? I'd like to use it but don't need/want to upgrade my entire app to do so. Please confirm, thank you.

No longer working? Rick Roll every time.

It could be that I'm running locally, I guess, but no matter what video I try to embed it comes up as a Rick Roll.

Did YouTube change their setup or am I doing something wrong?
