Official answer Novapoint support team Belgium:

Gert Rombout 31 may 2017

Translation and interpretation

Whats being said by support in a nutshell:

  • The feature described in the issue was not designed to be used like described in issue starter-post.
    • --> I do not agree with this statement, the feature has ALWAYS worked like this. Just look at older versions, and be amazed.
  • The feature always adds element in between selected geometrie, because is was designed that way.
    • --> I do not agree with this statement, when objects were not connected or tangential, a line would be added. never seen the software put arcs there ...
  • To make the feature work that way, we should use a workaround procedure, that would add unnecessary workload.
    • Really? ... Just fix it ...
