If you no longer have the time to maintain this project, then don't release a new version. A new release would only suggest that this software is still maintained. But could you update the ReadMe.md, giving a notice that this project is no longer maintained or (if you like) is open for adoption?

I myself used it for a while and maintained a docker image: https://github.com/mietzen/docker-bastillion, but in the meantime
I switched to warpgate. I probably going to archive it as well.

Thank you for the time you invested in designing and maintaining Bastillion!

BLUF - If anyone is thinking of making money off of it by creating their own images and adding it as a service for some cloud provdier, you are in violation of the licesne agreeement.

but feel free to use it as you wish as long as you don't make money directly from it, its free for bussiness and personal use.

And you can make your own images for bussiess or personal use, but you can't sell to others

A new release would only suggest that this software is still maintained. WTF - A release with lib updates IS maintaining it . I'm just not adding any new features Dude, don't tell me what to do with my project and repo! And be sure to check the license. If you want to maintain your own fork, fine! I don't care

Sorry I wasn't / didn't want to tell you want to tell you what to do. English isn't my first language, perhaps there was some misunderstanding?

b/c I don’t want to support that anymore

This just let me to believe you may doesn't want to support the whole project anymore.

And just to clarify:

  • I liked your software
  • I searched for a Docker Image
  • Found the old E-Cosi Image, It wasn't updated anymore
  • I forked it und updated it
  • I stopped using bastillion and moved on

I have no connection to e-cosi or any cloud provider and just used it for my home lab as long as I felt it suited my needs.
