App doesn't start maximized

The application is designed to started in maximized status, although it sometimes starts in windowed mode. I haven't tested it on Windows systems so it might only be an issue with javafx and my window manager on linux.

Menu stops working

After using the app for a random time the menu will eventually stop working. This causes no exceptions nor error messages and the app continues working as intended(menu excluded, ofc).
I'm not able to replicate this event hence I can't understand what's causing it.
