Starter Guild

  • Latest build status with azerothcore:

Build Status

Description

This module automatically assigns new characters to a specific guild depending on the faction.

Usage

  • Create a new guild ingame for each faction with .guild create or directly into the database.
  • Edit the configuration file.
  • Create a new character and open the guild tab.
  • Keep in mind that the limit of players is 1000 per guild.

SQL example to create the guild

  • Check that the ids do not exist, and in this case, the owner will be the first creating player, generally the administrator.
DELETE FROM `guild` WHERE `guildid` IN (1, 2);
INSERT INTO `guild` (`guildid`, `name`, `leaderguid`, `motd`) VALUES
(1, "Horde Starting Guild", 1, "Lok'Tar Ogar!"),
(2, "Alliance Starting Guild", 1, "Fight together, for the alliance");

mod-starter-guild's Issues

Guild size reached?

What happens if the guild max size has been reached? crash?

What is the max size?

Not working as supposed

Sometimes there's no Guild invite to new players on both side (Alliance and Horde)
Tried with few IDS, and problem is still there.

TODO: add this SQL

Probably add this in sql/characters/testing/guild.sql or sql/characters/development/guild.sql

-- DEFAULT DATA FOR EASY TESTING/DEVELOPMENT
SET @GUILD_ID := 1; -- Default guild ID
SET @GUILD_NAME := 'TEST';
SET @CHARACTER_ID := 1; -- Character ID that will be the leader of the guild

INSERT INTO `guild` (`guildid`, `name`, `leaderguid`, `motd`) VALUES
(@GUILD_ID, @GUILD_NAME, @CHARACTER_ID, 'Module starter guild works fine!');

-- DELETE GUILD AFTER TESTING IF YOU WANT
-- DELETE FROM `guild` WHERE `guildid` = @GUILD_ID;

Also add a line about this SQL file in the README.md
