The pollResult API has convenience methods:
    PollResult::getSearchResults();
    PollResult::getUpdateResults();
    PollResult::getDeleteResults();
    PollResult::getNotifyResults();

These API methods remove any ordering of the individual result items as 
provided by the MAP Server.  This can make it difficult to e.g. understand if a 
delete result was proceeded by an update result for the same metadata, without 
looking at the metadata timestamps.

Handle this situation and throw exception.

It's deprecated!

Using the ARC channel, it's possible to receive a endSessionResult
(4.1.1.2), handle this appropriately.

Currently the purgePublisher operation is missing.
Should not be too hard.

IF-MAP 2.1 defines extended identifiers, which use the identity->other type to 
encode a new complex identifier schema.

It would be nice to see libifmap2c add support for creating and parsing these 
extended identifiers.

Check which of the standard metadata contains content and isn't
just a marker, adapt the Metadata class accordingly.

A ResultItem can have the same Identifier twice.
The getIp() getAr() methods don't make much sense in this case.
Think about something better...

The SearchRequests misses the terminal-identifier fields, currently.
