user-stories's Issues

Annotation of Surfaces & Volumes

As an architect

I want to be able to annotate surfaces and volumes

To allow users to identify surfaces and add information for intended materials, indicate junctions to be explored, describe volumes to be generated.

Recording Spatial Relationships

As an architect

I want to be able to coordinate two or more models relative to one another in 3D space.

To allow users to position and orientate models on a canvas and to have that coordinate information persist, that they can be developed separately and brought back together.

Defining Initial View Position

As an architect

I want to be able to define the initial position and orientation of a model

The initial view of a model is important. It establishes the intended approach for interaction with the model

storynavswitching

eg. If the initial camera is at eye-level (1.6 meters above ground) and 'close' to a building model, it implies the intention is to view the model in the first person and interrogated accordingly.

If the model first appears from an aerial view, it is implied that it is to be viewed at a distance, in relation to its context or as a holistic design model.

Navigation Switching & Saving

As an architect

I want to be able to switch navigation schemes and save navigation points/views

To allow users to be given an overview of a scheme from an aerial perspective (with the ability to view it orthogonally) and to interrogate in the first person to experience spaces, discover sight lines, examine junction details etc.

Model Slicing

As an architect

I want to be able to slice a model along any axis

To give users the ability to see internal structures or concentric spaces. It allows greater understanding of certain relationships between spaces.

Consistent Unit Scale

As an architect

I want to ensure a model is viewed at a consistent scale, with an indication of units

So that models are experienced at the intended scale. Users are able to measure and display values
