I can't reproduce it. gtk+ is a Nyxt dependency, which corresponds to GTK3.
The guix version you're running is fresh, but it's not the latest. What happens if you run guix pull and then guix install nyxt?

Below is an example of the .so files gtk+-3.24.37 provides from my system. I have the feeling that the issue isn't that the .so files don't exist, but rather that the store item that it queried doesn't exist anymore.

Updated Guix just now. Built fresh master with guix package -f nyxt.scm. Still the same error, even with --failsafe.

What happens if you install through guix and not through the local package definition?
How are you able to set up the development environment?

Interesting. guix install nyxt works just fine. And running Nyxt in development environment (a profile with all the dependencies installed) works too.
