The code challenge is and will always be judged using the following criteria

• A Correct fork, branch and pull request
• Using the GitHub Pull Request Time Stamp and correct code quality & structure, the first developer whose code runs successfully on the sandbox/simulator wins
• Other developers who submit successfully MAY also get rewarded with secondary items
• Code quality and structure will be evaluated
• The order for pull requests will be followed, first come first win basis!
• Do not share any code that you cannot opensource on the Git Repository as its open source and Africa's Talking will not be liable for any breach of intellectual property (if any) once shared on the platform.

You can participate on as many challenges as you wish:

• Africa's Talking reserves the right to announce the winners
• Africa's Talking reserves the right to reward the winners based on Africa's Talking Criterion

• This is the first phase of the CodeChallenge and upon successful completion, you will be entered into the second and final round of the challenge

This code challenge is in two parts:

In the first part of this code challenge, you should create a USSD application that is able to send airtime as well as an SMS notification confirming the airtime has been sent. You can add more functionality to the USSD application. You can add more levels to your USSD application with any functionality based on our APIs or other services.

In the SMS front, the response that the user gets is a two-way SMS that allows you to get feedback from the user regarding the service provided. Try make it as conversational as possible.

Remember that the code you use on this code challenge will inform the next round.

1. User initiates the USSD application
2. Your app responds with the various options among them being the Airtime
3. The user enters the amount of airtime that needs to be sent
4. Once sent, a confirmation SMS is sent to the user.
5. The SMS is two way. You should have an interaction asking the user for feedback on the service.
6. Ensure your service is accessible online. You can use the free tiers of Heroku or Openshift or other platform of choice.
7. We will be testing your solution on the AT Sandbox

This is the second part of the challenge

In this bit of the code challenge, you should create a webapp that is able to manipulate the text that appears on the USSD levels as well as change the messages sent during the two way SMS interaction with the user.

You can use whichever front-end technologies that you deem worthy of this project.

1. User accesses your app on the web
2. They are able to access pages that allow them to edit the text on the USSD levels
3. They are able to access pages that allow them to edit the text on the SMS interaction
4. Once changes are saved they should be able to see the changes on your USSD and SMS replies
5. Ensure your service is accessible online. You can use the free tiers of Heroku or Openshift or other platform of choice.
6. We will be testing your solution on the AT Sandbox
