async.rs's Issues

Integrate the book well

Currently, there's an iframe integration of the book into the page (currently not even the right book).

That does work surprisingly well, but it would be great if the book had a little bit of a theme.

The only necessary feature is that the header of the page stays visible.

Book: missing "next chapter" button on the main page

If you open book.async.rs without the /introduction.html part, the "Introduction" chapter will not be highlighted and the "next page" button on the right side will not be available.

Most links go to the main page (with no chapter selected), so this results in an extra click every time the book is opened. And it's arguably even more confusing to beginners (like me ๐Ÿ™‚) who are not yet used to this quirk.

This seems to be a problem with mdBook, but their main page is fine. Perhaps the bug has already been fixed in a newer version?

Logo and colors

Logo request is sent to logobridge.co, along with a request for a fitting primary colour. Low friction, not much more.

Investigate other tooling

Currently, the page is based on middleman and webpack. While that is workable and well-integrated, given the simplicity of the page, we might be able to run on something simpler. The main builds step we have is compilation of SASS.

Deployment

I'd avoid bikesheds here and put it on our netlify account.

Links to other resources

I heard there's an async book coming. I want this page to be an information hub where every user of async-std can find out everything.
