Android Crimemap

An android application which allows you to see crimes in a certain area and plots the data on a map (UK Only).

This app uses API from police.uk https://data.police.uk/docs/

This project was part of a module I studied at university, it's here for reference for students/lecturers or anyone else.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. You will need android studio https://developer.android.com/studio/
  2. You will need to register for @ google developer console at get a andriod geo map api key: https://console.developers.google.com
  3. Put the api key in the androidmanifest.xml file where it says YOUR_GEO_API_KEY
  4. Run it on an android device 4.2 or higher
