I have an Alcatel Flip 3 running KaiOS 2.5.2. The kaimusic app doesn't recognize the .m3u playlist files on the SD card. Can this feature be added?

When will be there the ability to play music in the background?

title. I downloaded some mp3 files from here https://free-mp3-download.net (eg. this one https://free-mp3-download.net/download.php?id=16921124&q=aGFyZGJvaWxlZA==). They play just fine on my pc. Nonetheless, thanks a lot for your work!

I have connected my Alcatel Flip 3 to my Honda Accord's music system through Blue Tooth. The car's display only has "unknown artist" and "unknown track". Can k-music transmit the song's meta data? -Brendan

I am listening to long audio files (almost 2 hours long) and sometimes I need to fast forward the track to a specific position (where I stopped listening last time). I know K-Music remembers the position, but not always. When I try to fast forward the audio track by double pressing right arrow key, I can see the position change and the audio also, but when I release the button the audio track starts to play from the beginning no matter what position I fast forwarded it to. Can you please look at this problem? Thanks a lot.

One more thing about the fast forwarding - I would greatly appreciate some other key to fast forward it more than 10 seconds (which is what double press on right arrow key currently does). Maybe some numeric key could be used (4 to rewind back and 6 to fast forward) to skip 1 minute or maybe more (or better to skip for example 10 % of the duration of the track). What do you think?

Folder playlist method is great. It is the only way I can play music in playlists. However, all folders are listed recursively. This makes it hard to find the top level "playlist" folder I created when it is listed among artist and album folders. I recommend that folder view only show the top level folders and allow the user to browse to lower level folders with a Select command. -Brendan

Hi, it seems have a problem in volume, when i set the volume into full the app seems to low volume unlike the built in audio player from kaios.. i think the problem is from the default volume that you have set? i saw some code from java script just like this
const DEFAULT_VOLUME = 0.02; i don't know if i'm correct? can you fix some issues?

Hi. I have problem using your K-Music application. My phone can't play MP3 files (Alcatel 3088X, in the manual it says it supports AAC, AAC+, eAAC, AMR, AMR-WB, OGG). So I converted my music collection to OGG format. But K-Music ignores OGG files, it can't find any, even if they are on my SD card.

I tried to put some MP3 files on my SD card and those files I can see in K-Music library. But it won't play them, probably because the phone doesn't support them :-(.

Could you fix the app so it does not ignore the OGG files? Thanks.

i want to add repeat player function,
Playing mp3 file, after some time, i wants to start Mark this current time, so i would like to Press "2" button
and some time latter, i want to close Marking, and Replay from 1st mark, end till second mark, press "8" button
repeat playing from selected range,
as many time , no limit.
and i want to clear marking filter, just press "5" button, so file will continue till end,

i seen these button not assigning in any function , so its good to use, ### 2, 5, 8

Hello! Since I don't find anywhere else to ask, I'll ask here:
I don't have an KaiOS- phone yet, but I'm thinking of buying one. But the music app is kind of crucial. And since I have a lot of playlists I want to listen to... So, is it possible to make playlists on the computer, and then transfer them onto the phone/sd-card? Or mount the phone/sd-card on the computer and then make the playlists there? I use linux as my daily OS.

I have an Alcatel Flip 3 running KaiOS 2.5.2. I have installed a micro SD card with ~15GB of .mp3 files. I go to create a play list, create a name, click next then enter a letter to search for music. The app freezes at the first letter and then crashes. Can this be fixed?

It seems that when the app opens, the app takes too much system resources, which closes all background apps on KaiOS, including the system homepage. It's rare that a tool app can take up the same resource like a game (e.g.:AirshipCombat3D). Also, when using the app, my device doesn't run it as smoothly as I expected. Is this my problem or there's really something unsatisfying?
