netdata-ios's Issues

Can't add server

Just purchased the Mac app and when I click the "Add Netdata server" button nothing happens.

How to add parameters to monitor? Pie chart icon just leads to spinning empty pane

Are only the standard System Overview parameters possible to view? I clicked on the pie chart icon to try to add more (upsmon measurements over time that successfully appear in the NetData interface) and the pane that came up just spun, never got to presenting what function it provided. Version 1.5, let me know if you need my hw/sw versions.

show device as offline

hey

I just started with Netdata and your iOS app
I saw that Netdata cloud can show if your device is on- or offline.
but in your app a device is always displayed green and I can select it even it is offline - Netdata cloud knows it is offline.

Crashing on M1.

Awesome app! After installing it from the Mac App Store, I'm able to connect to my netdata installation, but when I select it from "My Servers", app crashes after trying to load it.

I'm on Big Sur 11.2.3, Apple M1.

Some UI glitches and suggestions

Hey, i've stumbled upon this amazing app for monitoring my Netdata distance but i've noticed some UI glitches
I've uploaded a recording on imgur and i think i found out what the problem is. When you navigate the pages and you go back using a swipe gesture but fail to complete or go back to he staring page the top title text gets duplicated and initialized again

https://imgur.com/NYhvTI9

There are also some other minor glithes, like the cpu usage progress ring doing jumping animation when its initialized and also the free memory graph logic. I think it would be better to set the total free ram value as the combination of "free ram" and "cached ram" charts combined since linux treats cached ram as free ram (see https://www.linuxatemyram.com/)

I'm learning switf ui too so maybe i'll look into the code and make a PR request if i get the time

Charts appear blank on Raspberry Pi Netdata w iOS 16.3.1

I am running netdata version 1.11.8 (49) on iOS 16.3.1. My netdata server is a Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu server 20.04. When accessing netdata from any web browser, it works perfectly. However, when using the netdata app on iOS, charts appear to be frozen and blank. Nothing appears. Please see screenshot below and let me know if you need any other information that will help fix this.

Charts no longer appear when trying to add more charts in iOS

Info:
I am using iOS 16.0.2 on an iPhone 11. However, this problem was also occuring before I upgraded iOS when I was using iOS 15... The server that is running my netdata application off of is a Raspberry Pi 4 (aarch64) LEMP server running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Issue:
The problem is simple. When trying to add more charts to my main netdata screen, no charts actually appear in the charts section. The charts section is just blank even when searching for charts. Essentially, I am stuck using the default charts and only the default charts. Please fix this.

Netdata crash if specific node is viewed

Hi, I have problem with netdata ios cliend. To be specific viewing Raspberry node. It worked but once I enabled monitoring of windows node via native wmi exporter then this specific raspberry node keeps crashing all the time if opened. I can see it will load some of the stats and then crash (like less than a second).

This behavior is same on latest iOS or iPadOS.

Hi,

We i try to Connect on my docker netdata container I Have an error "invalid server url"

Can’t add server

Hi, I'm not if I'm missing something here or not, but I don't understand or seem to be able to add servers. I've tried for URL: http://10.1.1.1:19999/, http://10.1.1.1/ 10.1.1.1:19999, and 10.1.1.1, and I always get this same error in the screenshot.

The information is not refreshed

Almost than a month I can not see the information in the iPhone APP. If I use the browser to the URL it loads. But If I use de iPhone app the information is not refreshing.

Feature Request

I really like your App, sadly it does not provides support for streaming clients.
We’re using an public netdata instance with registry, perhaps you like to bring up a feature that your app can also view the client stat which the master received
Best regards
Dan

Informations not showing up

I had some issue with the widget but somehow made it work with one server.
As soon as I added my Mac mini the widget was off again :

I don't know if it's related but network does not show any information for my mini (but does in netdata web interface) :

It's a cool and promising app btw 👍

Netdata Cloud

How can I use this app with Netdata cloud?
Maybe a button to add a cloud server would be nice.

image

1) Netdata keeps crashing when pinning charts. 2) Not all charts will pin.

I am running iOS 16.1 on an iPhone 11. The netdata version is 1.11.7 (48). My netdata is running off of a Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu 20.04 Server.

Issue 1)
I have tried to pin many charts. However, when looking under the "pinned charts" section in the Netdata iOS app, it doesnt show all of the charts that I actually pinned.

Issue 2)
After pinning my charts, I try to go to view my charts in the netdata app, but as soon as i scroll down past the first screen full of charts, the netdata app crashes and I have to reopen it. This has been an isue for almost a year now and I hope I can offer any requested information needed to fix this as soon as possible. Netdata is useless without this working, so I hope there will be a fix soon.

Please let me know if I can do anything to help.

Cloud instance

How do you install on a cloud based netdata instance? Or is this only for self hosted.

Can’t connect without https (solved)

Hi, your app looks modern and nice, but I have problem. My NetData is on my raspberry pi 4 at home and it's local IP (192.168.0.50:1999) and when I fill this IP in your app it ask me for https connection. Can you make it work for home use like this without https address? Thank you and looking forward for future updates🙃
