linino's Issues

Change SSID of Wifi when Yun is in AccessPoint mode

Change the SSID when Yun is in AccessPoint mode is easy; I can edit file /etc/config/wireless or use the advanced web control panel to chenge it.
But if you change from AccessPoint (first configuration) mode to Client mode (normal use) and then yuo return again to the AccessPoint mode (for example, if your wifi is not available or if you're too far away) the name of the Wifi network is again "Arduino Yun - xxxxxxxxxxx".

Trim to fit on WR703N

Would it be possible to trim down linino so that it runs on a WR703N (which a serial-attached ATmega)? This would have the advantage that the WR703N is a) available and b) at a fraction of the cost of the Yun

Bug in libgphoto2 package

I tried to use the gphoto2 package but the libgphoto2 package seems to be broken to me. There are no CAMLIBS and no IOLIBS.

Request for Informations about differences to stock OpenWRT

Hi,
I'm the lead developer of the PirateBox Project http://daviddarts.com/piratebox/?title=PirateBox and I'm totally interested to bring the PirateBox on the Adunio Yun. I would love to get some informations about the Differences in the YUN-OpenWRT and how (which device node) the SD Card is attached.
I would like to use the SD Card as the storage and/or the USB Port.

The current Beta-PirateBox 1.0 packages are "valid" OpenWRT Packages and can be built through the OpenWRT build-tools. Even the usage of the USB-stuff is configurable via configuration now - before - installing the PirateBox.
edit: all PirateBox packages are available as a "feed", which can be included into OpenWRT Build-environment.

I know, that the Ardunio is not as cheap as a bare ar71xx system like the TL-WR703N, but I already know at least 3 people from PirateBoxCamp which would love to combine both techniques.

I'm looking for feedback,
best regards

Matthias

WiFi disable configuration is required in some countries

In some countries, it is prohibited to use WiFi without a government certification. The countries include Japan, we are distributing Yun after applying a small patch to disable WiFi function.

Currently, we can disable the WiFi interface (wlan0) using LuCi web interface. However, this causes your daemon (wifi-live-or-reset) to reset the Linux.

Additionally, this configuration should be retained after "reset-to-factory-anyway" by pressing the WiFi Reset button more than 30 seconds.

You may want to see my patching script.

Such WiFi disabling capability may be useful also in countries that is not prohibited.

Build error when compiling the cmus extension

When building under Debian 7 (64bits) I get the following error message:

cp: cannot stat `/home/rnc/linino/trunk/build_dir/target-mips_r2_uClibc-0.9.33.2/cmus-v2.5.0/ipkg-install/usr/lib/cmus/op/oss.so': No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [/home/rnc/linino/trunk/bin/ar71xx/packages/cmus-plugin-oss_2.5.0-5_ar71xx.ipk] Error 1

In fact, the cmus-v2.5.0/ipkg-install/usr/lib/cmus/op folder only contains alsa.so and pulse.so.

ruby on linino

would love to see a working ruby in the packages - currently a pachlevel 0 is used which has a known problem (http does not work): https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/9873

any chance to put a ruby (perhaps ruby 2) on linino in the near future? being able to run a sinatra server on the yun would be soooooo convenient ;-)!

Test WPA2 enterprise

Set up a radius server and everything needed to test if the yun can connect to such enterprise class wifis

Wrong MD5sum for cpu-mcu-bridge

Hello,

the current md5sum for cpu-mcu-bridge 1.1.0 is afa194cf16a3d2b1ca5180f630054ed2, which is different from the one reported on the Makefile.

luci has a new source and breaks scripts

Instead of the svn it now uses git, so the scripts don't work anymore, update the feeds.conf.default in trunk to:

src-git luci git://github.com/openwrt/luci.git

coreutils-stdbuf missing /usr/ib/coreutils/libstdbuf.so

per title, package coreutils-stdbuf does not include libstdbuf.so.

Wrong MD5sum for cpu-mcu-bridge again

Like for the issue #9 :

Thank you !

Yun: Bonjour service (ip resolution) does not work on yun.

When you have 2 yuns on the same network called yun1 and yun2 it is not possible to ping yun2 from yun1 using
ping yun2.local
yun2.local is not resolved to a ip adress.
Pinging with the ip adress works fine.
This issue is discussed here http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=202577.msg1492883#msg1492883
it seems like the service nss-mdns is missing.

I think this is a important feature when you have multiple yun's on the same network who need to work together.
I for instance need it to have my robot(s) communicating with a base station.

The alternative's I know are

  1. using the work around parsing avahi-resolve -n yunX
  2. Using fixed IP adresses
I find both workarounds very clumsy.
Therefore I think this is important for the yun that this issue is fixed.

Jantje
