Batch Remove Formatting (e.g. bold, italics, etc.) dead in the water

I was pointed toward the Batch Remove Formatting (e.g. bold, italics, etc.) add-on for Anki. Looked like exactly what I needed. I updated to Anki 2.1, installed the add-on, and tried it out, but nothing happened. More detail...after installing, the Edit → Batch-Remove Field Formatting command was present. I selected about 15 cards in the browser that I knew to have superfluous formatting data and hit Edit → Batch-Remove Field Formatting. Nothing happened. The only change was that the entry at the top of the Edit menu changed from "Undo" to "Undo Edit → Batch-Remove Field Formatting". The cards retained all of the superfluous formatting, etc.

Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if there's a chance to fix this. Otherwise, I've got a lot of cards I'm going to need to dig into, one-at-a-time.

Thanks!

Anki Dark Theme Help

Downloading the Anki add on 117604477 has been unsuccessful for me. I am a lay person in this field.

I am running Windows 10 and all known dark them options enabled but Anki program, browser window, and text colors all remain unchanged.

Is there a way in the Python code to set these colors manually, as in basecolour = black ? (obviously that's wrong but that is the the idea that I'm hoping will work.

Thank you in advance! I'm really excited to get this to work
