griffith's Issues

Sign in page needs styled

The main content area needs styled to match the rest of the content areas, as well as the "Sign in with Google" button.

Excess left padding on posts needs removed

There is too much left padding on posts at small and medium breakpoints. I think this is because there used to be an avatar there, but it got removed. Nonetheless, it needs fixed.

Unable to update administration settings checkboxes

We've fixed the checkboxes on the Administration->Settings page from being hidden, but now, when I check an option and click "Submit" at the bottom nothing happens. There is no error in the console and nothing visually occurs on the page. Refreshing the page shows that no change has occurred in the database.

Changing a text field and submitting "works"... sort of. The browser starts working, but then almost freezes up. I get the long-running script browser alert, but allowing the script to continue seems to work just fine. The page is refreshed and the text is in fact changed. However, if I change a checkbox along with a text box only the text is updated, the checkbox retains its old value.

[I'm using latest Firefox on Ubuntu.]

Hide menu items that you can't use when logged out?

I'm not a big fan of having the "View" / "Categories" and search bar visible when you aren't logged in. Since you aren't able to use them in you unauthenticated state, it just seems like they are taunting you. I think we should hide those until the user logs in.

Some error messages do not go away

The "Please Sign In First" message does not go away unless the page is reloaded via the browser reload button AND you are signed in. This the only message I've seen that stays, so far, but there may be others.

Need a way to indicate the "status" of an idea

I would like admins to be able to indicate what state a request is in. Posts would start in some kind of "suggested" status, and perhaps move into a "under review" status before being either "accepted" or "rejected". This is different from categories, and there should be a way to visually see what state a post is in.

Dropdown menu line height adjustment

The line height in the dropdown menus needs to be reduced. Instead, use padding/margin on <li> and/or <a> in menus. If a Category is too long for a single line, it breaks the line but keeps the line height and make it appear as two different categories.
