Open Source Contest is a competition for students during which we want to show students how easy it is to participate in open source projects. It seems Open Source Software competition is not happening. There are some discrepancies in the timeline. See the below image for better understanding.

You can scrape the information about various hackathons or workshops from sites or make an API for that.
It is a feature that will help all, with getting present information about the events instead of giving the data that is manually typed at the time of development.
