It seems that regardless of subtitle type simpleDLNA tries to convert titles to srt format, even if titles are allready in srt format.

simpleDLNA should skip this convert if title are allready in srt format

There are exceptions poping all the time, and I see in the code sometimes they are used instead of range or null checking, and often with empty catch, hate that sh*t.

Clean this.

To have something to query DB on, it's easier and good practice

I would expect to be created automatically but all it happends is that simpleDLNA don't use cache and every time reads from disk.

Cache Database should be recreated if missing.

More of a question than an issue. Are the aailable Windows binaries a drop-in substitute for the original author's binaries?
A second question. I'm using simpleDLNA on an old Thinkpad T61 with an Intel Core Duo and wif.
Can I use a LAN connection instead to improve performance?

SimpleDLNA will allways try to load thumbnail, and for movies that was allready checked and errored out this is pointless, and that is happening on every startup.
TODO:

• see why are thubs generation failing on some movies
• mark such movies and do not try again - DONE

fix that, on the other hand Samsung TV UE32D5500 works as a client flawlessly

For now only *.SRT works, I would be nice to have *. SUB also

I know development has been stagnated, but I would like to ask why the binaries at www.antoniob.com/simple-dlna-fork don't include the sdlna.exe (command line interface). I've been using SimpleDLNA for a while and would like to have .srt subs working on my Samsung TV, but I always use the CLI, not the GUI.
