error handling: handle errors when someone skips/fills the form out improperly

as of right now, the error handling comes in too late, after the errors related to 'undefined' status of improper data occur.

possible solutions:

  • work with the form so that all fields are required and one cannot submit before filling them out (makeshift solution bc what if someone just types "dnwonfpqow" in every field? answer: the same error happens)
  • make a solution to handle errors related to 'undefined' types of data earlier in the POST request
