brain-dump's Issues

PRTG plugin where an object doesn't exist

Hi there, I hope it's not too much ask if you've come across working around a host or sensor that doesn't exist.

I may not have a ping sensor for all devices, so if, in metrics, I choose

group [named group]
device: *
sensor: Ping

at that point it just hangs and takes prtg with it (the health of the box just drops)

It's the same for any type of query that may return an objectid that doesn't exist.
Have you come across any workaround that if the sensor doesn't exist for a device, or a host doesn't exist in a group, to prevent that situation of hanging everything?

PRTG Grafana Error

I have tried to make a graph with the PRTG data, and I get the following error.

Filtering

Can you explain to me how I can use the filter for example to filter by tags?

I for example added a tag to the PRTG sensor (ex. "test") and tried to use the field to filter by "tag" and inputted to regex "/^test/" but it doesn't do anything

Grafana PRTG Variables

Hi good day,
I have been using Grafana with PRTG, and I have only one question regarding the creation of variables. I know there are several types of variables: interval, query etc.
I would like to know how the type of query is used, the syntax to recognize, and in which situations each type of variable is used.

Metric Conversion

Hi,

On your explanation you write:
The Multiplier option in the PRTG plugin had to be set to 0.1 to display a correct reading, but if you look carefully at the screenshot underneath you wrote in the multiplier field .01. Not sure which value is correct.

Also, I tried both (0.1, 0.01) and neither matched the values I saw in PRTG. The only way I was able to align the metrics was by seeing that I was recieving bytes, and then I had to divide by 1048576 in order to receive a value in MB. For example the raw data I received was "671973628" and when viewing the value in PRTG I saw the value "641 MByte".

Updating dashboard

Hi.

I see that PRTG Plugin 4.0.3 didnt update dashboards with Table visualization.
On v4.0.4 all works normal.

Did you saw tihs issue?
