The Android application is used to remotely monitor critical sensor data using an Android device. This has application in various areas like chemical laboratories, for example, for monitoring temperature of sensitive chemicals. When left unattended, the server automatically broadcasts warnings to registered mobile devices when abnormal conditions are detected. By opening the app, the user can monitor the sensor data live. When completed, it has the potential to be adopted into even more appropriate applications. The Google Cloud Messaging service is used for broadcasting warnings as push notifications.
