Hello I have a backup in the local server for SmarterMail extension .grp for users I need to mass migrate to another IMAP server that works with dovecot, also i have the new password with the same email in new server.
It would be prudent to include relevant information from the latest original website, for posterity. This should be moved to a relevant structure, for example a /docs directory.
Unfortunately all imap-tools seem to gather the password of users via the -S command line switch. This is inherently insecure on shared systems since the command line is visible to all users. Some scripts use a dedicated file of users but with inconsistent command line switches and formats. Also, what's the intention of this repository? Will you maintain the scripts? AFAICT there was no development since the initial import. I have pushed a commit to my fork that changes the default ports to the TLS-enabled default ports btw.
As I understand things after Googling around: "When someone dies, unless their wills says otherwise, any copyrights go to their estate. It is up to their heirs what happens after that."
So what has happened regarding the copyright and license to this source code?
