I am developing a Homebridge plugin to work alongside your project.

Right now it is hard to grab certain statuses from the project. Luckily it is easy for statuses to be set as I use the AJAX calls you already set up, but ideally these things could be exposed to let the user know statuses of Aurora:

A /ping endpoint so I can tell the user if the Aurora service is running and is able to be controlled
A JSON GET /loaded_configuration endpoint for certain settings:

    auroraEnabled: true, //This would be a lightbulb switch on Homekit,
    loadedExtension: 'Aurora_Ambient_AutoCrop', //This is a list of states you could put a switch in for the different modes
}

I think those are the basics right now. I'm sure I could send a pull request along with the basics but python isn't my forte, though I have dabbled in the past and could probably figure it out.

Could you please add information about the license of this repository — is it allowed to copy, change and use the code in any purpose?
It would be great to see any popular open source license.

With it just being on the config page its a little annoying cause it lights everything up...
