Sorry for the question, but I can't figure out the purpose of this extension. Is it basically a bookmark for Bing chat, or does it actually modify something on webpages?
On Chrome v110.0.5481.178 x64, when in a middle of a conversation with Bing Chat scrolls down, when returning to the conversation (scrolls up), the chat breaks and you need to reload to continue (losing the previous conversation)`
Uncaught Error: IConversationManager.sendSearchQuery can only be called as the first message of conversation.

I've only tried this extension on Firefox but when using shift+return to try and create a line break in a message, it stays on the same line.
I have my settings set to the recommended ones in the README, so I'm not sure where this issue is coming from. It's not a huge one but it makes sending something like a block of code relativity more difficult.
All of the universal dark mode extensions that I've used do not work at all, turns out its due to the background being a blinding white image. Could it be possible to add a toggle that swaps the stock image for a dark one or some dark color?
When inputting Japanese, the Enter after conversion from kana characters to kanji characters is not interpreted separately from the Enter before the Enter for sending, but is sent by pressing Enter to confirm the conversion.
This is probably not limited to Japanese, but can occur when typing in languages that require conversion, such as Korean, Chinese and other mainly Asian languages.
Thanks for the great work on the Firefox addon! I just wanted to flag that the Bing Chat response box isn't appearing beside search results on the main search engine like it does with Edge.
For some reason, when using Bing AI Chat with Firefox using this plugin, I am unable to scroll up or down, making it impossible to read past answers in a thread or scroll down to see the next chat messages whenever the bot designs to post a few photos.
Can this be also made as a tampermonkey script, for Android Firefox.
Android firefox only supports a limited number of extensions, but it supports tampermonkey, so if this spoof can be made as a userscript, we dont have to use Edge just to access Bing GPt in android device too.
Thanks for the extension btw, i use Bing a lot, its a life saver.
Please help solve the scrolling problem. I’m on GitHub for the first time, so I think you’ll understand me. I know I need to set layout.css.overflow-overlay.enabled to true in about:config, but I don’t know how to do it. Where do I put it? Please explain to me the points if possible
When I go to install the extension, Chrome says it can "Block content on any page". Why is that needed? I don't trust a random extension with permissions it doesn't seem to need.
Some users are reporting that they cannot access Bing Chat on Vivaldi. However, I can access Bing Chat on Vivaldi on my device. This thread is to debug what's happening.
Using this would allow for a better layout (especially on mobile), dark mode and using the compose feature. Interestingly the url already loads and the text generation in "compose" seems to work on firefox mobile, just the "chat" doesn't show up. Maybe some more flags required to make it fit into the window?
Correct display in Kiwi Android with Edge User agent:
This is what I did to Firefox. I can stably reproduce it on my Laptop.
Switch to the full page to talk with Bing.
Say something to it.
Let Bing finish answering the question.
Click Clear button to clear the context.
Focus on the input box
Switch to a third-party Chinese input method. (If you use the Microsoft input method, you will find that you cannot type Chinese, but this will not cause the clash of Firefox)
When the response is received from bing, I cannot scroll more than what's currently being displayed, neither upwards nor downwards. I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the browser but the issue still persists. I'm using the 102.8.0esr (64-bit) version of Firefox
After installing this extension, YouTube UI seems to be zoomed in on Firefox.(only 3 videos are showing on row rather than 4 videos as it used to be) Does this have to be something with its CSS settings?
Hello, I just got a mail that I were accepted to Bing Chat after sriund a week, I then tried to access it on desktop which didn't work even in edge browser, needed to use an VPN.
Now I wanted to use it in mobile and because the bing app don't work plus mobile edge don't has the chat feature yet I installed this extension using the kiwi browser. I then needed to switch to desktop mode to get rid of the waitlist popup. After doing so, it asked me to use edge meaning that the extiobs did not worked as it should
Basically you set header.value to DESKTOP_UA and then check if it contains 'mobile', which will never happen because you set header.value to DESKTOP_UA.
This extension works for me on both Firefox and Chrome but when I try it on Opera GX (my browser of choice and the browser I used before Microsoft came out with Bing Chat and effectively forced me to switch to Edge), it doesn't work and it still just shows the whole "Open in Edge" spiel. Opera works with most Chrome extensions so I'm not sure why it's not working. I made sure "Allow access to search page results" was enabled (Opera disables that in extensions by default for some reason which makes a lot of extensions not work until you enable it) and it's still not working. I am on the latest version of Opera GX so I don't think it's a version issue. Maybe there's some setting that needs to be changed in Opera for it to work, similar to "layout.css.overflow-overlay.enabled" in Firefox but I'm not sure exactly what that setting would be.
When I click the extension, and then click open bing chat, it simply redirects me to bing.com/chat and a pop-up appears saying "Chat mode is only available when you have access to the new Bing."
I can access the new bing chat from the bing app without any problem
This extension can be installed on Waterfox 5.1, a forked browser from firefox, but I cannot found layout.css.overflow-overlay.enabled in its about:config.
Been using this on firefox. Was wondering if you could make it so the little interactive window when clicking the extension could close itself after opening bing chat on a new tab. The window stays open and it's just annoying to have to manually close it then go play with Bing.
Hello friend, apparently you hardcoded somewhere so that the chat bing answered in English. Please make the region auto-detect or let us choose the language yourself. With all my desire, it is more convenient for me to read the answers in my native language. Thank you in advance!
