I'm trying to run the addon on kodi 16.1, however I get an error message saying "manual search is not enabled currently". BeautifulSoup is enabled. Is this not supported yet with 16.1?

Some series like Hawaii Five-0 2010 and MacGyver 2016 have year in name and as result the plugin is treating them as film since xbmc.getCleanMovieTitle removes the S11E32 part and returns the year.

I have some problems with addic7ed addon. I use it on the last version of Kodi (16.1), to download subtitles from tv shows.
All my tv shows are downloaded with Sickbeard and Sabnzbd, categorized as TV Shows in Kodi. So each file has a correct format name, with its .nfo.

The addon gives errors for some shows, and works for others. I attached an example of log file :

It seems to have a timeout error but the computer can reach Addic7ed without troubles. Moreover, when I search the subtitle directly on Addic7ed website, I find it.

I first thought to a limitation from Addic7ed (even if I must download 2 or 3 subtitles max per day), but the bug always occurs on the same files and the addon always works on the same files.
I tried to change languages in Kodi settings, adding english, but it doesn't work better.

If someone has an idea to help me, I take it :)

Looks like you're doing a good job in maintaining the addic7ed addon.
As you probably know at one point addic7ed did not want Kodi (or xbmc at that time) to have an addic7ed addon in the official repo. So it was removed.
Now a while ago one of the addic7ed admins who goes by the name alex28 tried to reach out on facebook to someone from Kodi to bring back the addic7ed support. https://www.facebook.com/Addic7ed/posts/10152734938466723

Are you willing to become the maintainer of the official Kodi addic7edaddon? If so, could you get in touch with alex28 to get his permission to put your fork on the Kodi repo?

hello, how to avoid download limits if you do not have an account with addic7ed? because you cannot log in using the subtitle addon...

Hi, thanks for maintaining this plugin - loving subtitles from addic7ed, and it's really cool to get them straight from Kodi.

However, I've been recently experiencing issue when looking for subtitles using this plugin.

The plugin search for subtitles, but after few seconds shows that it did not find any subtitles. However I can find completed subtitles on Addicted, and download them anonymously using my web browser.

I don't get this issue with all show, but recently I've been experiencing this issue with "Frontier" Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency", where it can't find either of English of French subs. However, looking and downloading subs for "Emerald City" works great.

Not sure what's the issue here, I don't see anything related to this plugin in the kodi.log, and can't find any log file in the addon folders.

Any suggestion of what/where I should look in order to do some debugging?
