I wonder why explosions on your plugin always result in slow downs, there 
doesn't seem to be any major polygons to them. Star Fox 64 runs at 60 VI/s and 
drops to 48 in some cases when there is an explosion. 

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. current version on your RDP
2. using PJ64/Mupen
3. just play

Resolution densest seem to change as would be expected from the expansion pak
