The WAN Database - A comprehensive archive of all things related to the semi-popular weekly tech podcast "The WAN Show" produced by Linus Media Group.

overhaul user experience to make Curio more beginner friendly.

This involves providing a single, unified interface for TLS and TCP connections, as well as bringing important features such as a connection pool into the picture

Add request builder

This could look something like this for a GET request:

    let result: Response = Request::get("http://yourdomain.xyz/your/path")
        .set_header("Authorization", "Bearer <token here>")
        .send()
        .await?

and maybe something like this for a POST:

    let result: Response = Request::get("http://yourdomain.xyz/your/path")
        .set_header("Authorization", "Bearer <token here>")
        .body("<body string>")
        .send()
        .await?

Fix structure for Headers

Headers should never have a blank value or name, using the option type is redundent as it will always be a variant of Some(<type>)

Again, noticed by u/sybesis in this comment

Check for content type header before trying to read body to string to avoid breaking during runs.

Add support for chunked response data

Currently Warp doesn't support the "chunked" transfer encoding outlined here (3.6 Transfer-Encodings)

This feature is planned for release 1.0 of Warp

Add TLS (HTTPS) Support

Now that TCP support is ready and working as expected, lets secure that infromation using TLS/HTTPS. it shouldnt be too hard right?

The drama shall follow. Watch this space if you want to see me die inside.
