The solution probably depends on the design of your library and how it is documented to be used. I suggest you define a public cleanup method that releases the connection to the service with the unbind call, and document that this must be called before your class is disposed.
If you need additional advice, please open a question on Stackoverflow.com. This forum is appropriate for bugs or feature requests with the Android Beacon Library. External project-specific issues are best addressed by the wider community.
