altbeacon-transmitter-android's Issues

Advertise GATT server with AltBeacon library.

Is it possible to open a GATT server on an Android compatible device, advertise it with AltBeacon transmitter library and then connect to it whenever it comes in range from another Android device? (Using the Android Beacon Library scanning functionalities and Android's BLE legacy APIs)
Thanks.

Android Lollipop Issues

This project no longer works on Android 5.0 (at least on the Nexus 5).

This is the problem.

https://code.google.com/p/android-developer-preview/issues/detail?id=1570

API 21 also changes a few things.
setType(int) was replaced with setConnectable(boolean)
https://developer.android.com/sdk/api_diff/preview-21/changes/android.bluetooth.le.AdvertiseSettings.Builder.html

as well as renaming a few of the android.bluetooth.le classes

Just wanted to give you a heads up.

How to transmit additional data via BeaconTransmitter?

i use your sample project to test beacon transmission, but i couldn't send any additional data.
i tried to do this like

Beacon beacon = new Beacon.Builder()
                    .setId1("2F234454-CF6D-4A0F-ADF2-F4911BA9FFA6")
                    .setId2("1")
                    .setId3("2")
                    .setManufacturer(0x0000) // Choose a number of 0x00ff or less as some devices cannot detect beacons with a manufacturer code > 0x00ff
                    .setTxPower(-59)
                    .setDataFields(Arrays.asList(new Long[]{1231231238L, 100500L}))
                    .build();

but in the other device i got just 6 from dataFields array. Devices id1 were the same.
