mini-web-radio's Issues

Application of PCM5102

I bought Dell ax510 speakers that are powered by 12v 1A and I wanted to ask if, after using a 12v 2 amp power supply,

I will be able to power esp32 as well. I also want to ask about throwing away the potentiometer

and reprogramming so that the ESP 32 board, my internet radio, always works with the maximum set value after turning it on.
volume because I will adjust the volume from the loudspeaker. Please remember that this time I will use the pcm5102 amplifier

Battery Management

As suggested by commenter on Hackaday:

  • Deep sleep when battery level gets critical
  • Syslog

My thoughts are deepsleep is great idea, although ESP loses power when switch is off, should implement in use cases where it has been left on unattended. I'd like future versions to use soft power so good to build from this.

Syslog would be nice, but AFAIK the hospital WiFi runs in isolation mode so would need to implement a public server off AWS, but would be great to have a grafana board available to them

Powered by micro USB without batteries.

Hi! All I did was remove line 49 from the script.

  1. What can I do next to use micro USB power only. I will never use battery power.
  2. Where to connect the potentiometer in this case?
  3. Can speakers above 3W be inefficient and will play unstable thanks to the radio?

Supported Streams?

Hi,
Great Project, just what i wanted to have for my Basement (and maybe toilet ;-) )

I did not find any details on the supported radio streams.
Which kind of streams are supported? mp3, icecast, shouldcast?

Removing the amplifier from ESP32

Should I correct the code if I completely give up the DAC and want to directly connect MC to ESP32? I would like the radio station to be heard immediately through my receiver without using Max98357?

Public Wifi

Cannot connect to 'password-less' public Wifi as the password field a is required form element

Pinout / DAC Wiring

Just finished my build, but i don't get any sound. Now i figured out there is something strange with the wiring of the CAD module.

The instructions say that the DAC module should be soldered with the GND Pins aligning.
Which leads to:

But the Code defines these Pins as:
#define I2S_DOUT 26
#define I2S_BCLK 25
#define I2S_LRC 33
#define I2S_GAIN 27
#define I2S_SD 14

Which is shifted by one pin. Could you please clarify this.

Thanks a lot
Johannes
