Installation

  • Detailed instuction
  • Only difference is that you have to unzip archive into mods directory (every mod have configuration .xml file) instead of placing .dll file

CookingTweaks

Change time of food prerapation (cooking/burning) or water processing (melting/boiling/drying).

Also this tweak fixes inconvenience in less than 1kg meat preparation (for example, 1kg and 100g of rabbit is cooking 1h 15min, and this tweak will decrease cooking time based on meat weight, so 100g of rabbit meat will cook 10 times faster).

Warning: it does not change displaying cooking time in cans/pots/etc, but it will change once you start cooking! Imporatant: adjust values in CookingTweaks.xml!

DetectionRange

Change animals detection distance. No more wolves who see/hear/smell you from far distance.

Or you can make game more challenging and make wolves to start looking for you if you leave your home ;)

You can also change detection range for rabbits, deers, bears, mooses.

Imporatant: adjust values in DetectionRange.xml!

FasterActionRedux

Do all actions way faster (nearly instant). Be careful, you can die in blink of eye, if you choose action that is very long (such as harvesting meat from bear)!

Redux of FasterActionMod by felipeds + fixed fishing.

This mod can cause visual bug "item message stuck" (very rare and I've probably fixed it, but who knows). This bug will disappear after change of location.

Also can cause old bug "stuck with bare hands on pickup" (I've probably fixed it too). This bug will disappear only after save restart.

To avoid bugs you can set action speed (container time works fine) to 0.5 (1.0 will be 100% safe) second in FasterActionRedux.xml. This will protect you from these very rare bugs (which I've probably fixed since I've didn't encounter them in 1h).

I highly recommend you to try this mod despite possible bugs (very, very, very low possible bugs), it's pretty amazing and time saving. I can't play without this mod.

MapTweaks

Increase map reveal radius or enable automapping (no charcoal required)

SkipIntroRedux

Skip disclaimer (autoclick) and intro. Fading removal on main menu is broken, I'll probably fix it later.

Redux of SkipIntro by ossian.

You can configure mod in SkipIntroRedux.xml.

StruggleTweaks

Set chance to instantly kill wolf after struggle or change bleedout time for wolf. Also you can change tap power to save your mouse buttons :)

TimeAccelerator

Speed up everything in the world to travel faster or do something faster.

Imporatant: adjust values in TimeAccelerator.xml!

TweakRabbits

Change duration of stun or kill rabbit instantly if hit with rock.

You can configure mod in TweakRabbits.xml.

WeaponCrosshair

Show crosshair when zooming with stone (enabled by default), bow (disabled by default), rifle (disabled by default).

You can configure settings in WeaponCrosshair.xml.

Mod Updates

Would love so see your mods updated for version 1.4 of the game. Especially missing MapTweaks and TimeAccelerator updated.

Map Tweaks not working

So i downloaded and installed your mod but it seems that it is deactivated.Is there any way to fix it?

WeaponCrosshair

Weapon Crosshair is not compatible with the latest version of the game 1.92/modsettings mod.

Beta version of FasterActionRedux breaks plant harvesting

Many thanks for these mods! I've been using the beta versions of MapTweaks, SkipIntro, StruggleTweaks and WeaponCrosshair from the zip you linked in issue 4 without any issues.

However, I would like to let you know that the beta of FasterActionRedux (a super useful mod!) removes the ability to harvest plants. The timing bar fills up and the object is removed from the game world, but it is not added to the inventory and no 'take it/leave it' screen appears. This happens with action speeds of 0.06, at 0.5, and at 1.0. At least birch and maple saplings, rose hips, cat tails and old man's beard are affected. Reproducible on latest Steam version with only this mod and the developer console mod.

Range values? ( MapTweaks & DetectionRange )

I'd love to use these mods, but they are all set to disabled by default in the xml's, and i have no clue what the value ranges are, unless i tried them all out by trial and error.

Could you please add some information to them?

Are they meters or feet, or just arbitrary?
What are the default values, what is high and what is low?

Automapping

In the config file it says:

	autodraw_delay - intervals between automapping 

However underneath in the actual config there's no autodraw map value listed.
What is the proper format to enable this function? <autodraw_map value="true"/> ?
Or should the code be formatted differently?

Perhaps just include the line of code in the config with it set to "false" by default so others won't be confused as I am?
