Can't start >= 1.20.2

Trying to start a Minecraft version >= 1.20.2 (including the current 1.20.4) fails with the following message:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid UUID string: 0
	at java.base/java.util.UUID.fromString1(UUID.java:280)
	at java.base/java.util.UUID.fromString(UUID.java:258)
	at com.mojang.util.UndashedUuid.fromStringLenient(UndashedUuid.java:14)
	at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:151)

1.18

Can't start 1.18 version :

$ LANG=en_US ./start 1.18 pseudo
1.18.config: line 21: clientid: unbound variable
1.18.config: line 22: auth_xuid: unbound variable
`̀``

And it require java 17

With manual fix of `1.18.config` file that work fine.

Can't start 1.12.2-forge

Problem

Hello, where I can find version.json file?

./start 1.12.2-forge nickname
