raspi-hd-surveillance's Issues

test and document optimal configuration for other raspberry pi models

This may be usable on a RasPi 2, but I haven't tried it yet. Should see what that model can handle, up to the new RasPi 4. Add them to the readme.

A stable configuration will keep CPU on the detection core at a reasonable level (leaving room for other OS functions in case ffmpeg is consuming 3 other cores). And RAM use should not be ever-growing when motion is detected. We want ffmpeg to be able to keep up with the frames passed to it.

make it easier to configure

  • framerate
  • width
  • height
  • motion threshold
  • probably others

Perhaps configurable via commandline params and a config file
