Hey, I've just seen this rather fresh module, and I've also recently started using InfluxDB. You might want to consider using my InfluxDB::LineProtocol module instead of your _to_line function. A quick glance at our code seems to indicate that you do not escape various character etc. And while InfluxDB::LineProtocol currently does not implement all of the fine details of the line protocol, we might collaborate to make it better (instead of wasting time on duplicate code).

I'm cleaning up the https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.0/tools/api_client_libraries/ page and removing those libraries that aren't compatible with InfluxDB 1.0.

I'll remove this project from that page on October 15th unless you have plans to update for 1.0 compatibility. Thanks!

Hi,

Ever since aac282c it seems there is no "tags" key in hash returned by a select call. This makes grouping by multiple tags useless because you can't tell the groups apart.

Any reason this was removed? Using the InfluxDB 1.2 query API I see that the tags are indeed returned.

I like this module's more abstract select API, and would like to avoid using the query method and parsing the JSON myself, so I'm wondering if there's a chance of bringing this key back. I might be missing the point of why it was removed - I apologize if this is the case :)
