Instructions for running the code

1. git clone the repository

2.cd to the directory where requirements.txt is located.

3.activate your virtualenv.

4.run: pip install -r requirements.txt in your shell.

5. cd into templates folder

6. run app.py in terminal

Project Motivation and Overview

Our motive is to build a Bird classifier using CNN classification.This project would help people to identify birds in real time-made possible using opencv videoCapture.

We have also used flask to integrate the image upload section so that a user could directly upload the image of a bird from their local storage.

Dataset

Our custom dataset consists of 150 classes (150 birds) with 5850 total images .

No. of images - 21649.

No. of images per class - 39
