IPV6 addresses are sometimes not shown due to a parsing error of /proc/%d/net/if_inet6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get an IPv6 address assigned
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
IPV6 addresses are sometimes not shown.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0.5

Please provide any additional information below.
Suggested solution: in network.c:if_dump()
replace: n = fscanf(pnd, "%8X%8X%8X%8X %*d %x %*d %*d %s",
with: n = fscanf(pnd, "%8X%8X%8X%8X %*x %x %*x %*x %s",
Reason: if one of the %*d fields is hex: netmask and/or hostname will be
wrongly parsed

3.0.0 beta - cpu graph display issues [minor]

LG Optimus S running DanteRom

first of all, this is a VERY cool app!

on the first install i noticed that neither green nor blue color is selected
for cpu graph in notification area

the graph sometimes works, then goes blank (just shows vertical/horizontal
bars, like an HTML table)

IPv6 addresses not listed in Network tab

When enabling Wi-Fi, OSMonitor does not display the IPv6 of the eth0 interface
(last of the list in "Network" tab). I only see my IPv4 class C address for
eth0.

I'm sure i have global IPv6 address on the device because i can use IPv6 in and
outside my network and see TCP6 connections in the "Connection" tab (mail
through IMAP, ssh sessions, etc.).
The only IPv6 address listed in the "Network" tab is for loopback interface
(lo), correctly displayed.

Not a severe issue though, but i appreciated your app and this is the only
remark i have :). Thanks for your work.

Wrong memory-per-process info

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start application, Process tab
2. Ensure that third column displays memory values for processes (Mem)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The list contains huge, unreal values. If you sum them, the final value would
be something like 600-700 MBs, while Memory Total shows only 287 MB (for my
particular device). It would be nice to see real memory consuming per each
process.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Inactive options

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Press "Menu" button
2. Select "Options"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The "Autostart" and "Show Celsius" items and all items in section "Misc" are
inactive. Maybe it isn't a bug, but I don't know, why they are inactive because
of a broken help and inability to find any user manual or documentation.

EnterICMmode/LeaveICMMode - constant log-message

Hi
Is it the OS Monitor application which repeatedly generates these messages in
the DMESG log?

I have the same problem as described in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864438
The only common thing except Android seems to be OS Monitor

I can see these messages in OS Monitor message-function (Dmesg).

3.0.0 beta - feature req. - network connection history [minor]

one of the uses for the network monitor could be to configure the firewall in a
router. as such, it might be good to log the connection history so it is
available later

i'm not seeing this info in logcat and i think it might be more intuitive to
provide it in the network connection tab anyway - perhaps from the options menu

OS Monitor should show which process is eating more cpu in its notification status bar

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the notification bar
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I'd like to open android notification bar and see which process is taking more
cpu at the given time. Because whenever I'm seeing the processor is using 100%,
if I open osmonitor it seems that the process which was eating up cpu is put to
sleep as the processor usage goes down. If OS Monitor could show me the process
in the notification bar, it would be easier to identify the eating cpu process.

Today I only see the cpu usage and free memory.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.1.8 from Market

More details for "whois"

Could you include some more details on the whois page? My suggestion would be
an additional section like "extended information", where things should be
listed like e.g.:

* URL belonging to the given IP
* who "owns" this IP (or the block it belongs to)

It's nice to see where it's located - but if I'm "suspicious" of what stands
behind, the location alone does not help me that much :-)

Infinitec PocketTV Compitability

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Expected output is being able to install and use the app. What I see is that

Any version of OS Monitor. Initial stock build on the PocketTV is Android 4.0.4
ICS

Please provide any additional information below.
I would like to see compatibility with this device. I'm not sure why it doesn't

single core design. This device has only been shipping for a short time but I
would like to use OS Monitor with it.

Application name

The name of the application displayed on android system is "OSMonitor"

I expected to see the application named as "OS Monitor". It is the same as the
name of the application displayed in the Android Market and is the logical one:
it is an application that monitors (Monitor) the operating system (OS). In two
words.

I am using version 1.1.8 on HTC Wildfire running Android 2.2.1

Otherwise, it is an excellent application and is running just fine on my phone.

Have a nice day,
Costi.

Remove sort algorithm from options

Thanks for this useful piece of software. But the settings menu is a bit
overloaded. Especially I think the configurable sort algorithm is complete
nonsense. That's something very internal to the implementation and there is no
need for the user to have to choose.

Not to mention that there is really no reason to use bubble sort except for
educational purposes ;)
