notestex's Introduction

Welcome! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ

I'm Aditya; an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and a DDF Fellow at the University of Minnesota. I work on fun topics in neural networks, quantum information, holography, and black holes. Currently, I'm working at Wolfram Research developing software for the QuantumFrameworks package to perform numerical and analytical calculations on quantum computers.

  • ๐Ÿ”ญ Iโ€™m currently working on making a Wordle bot.
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Iโ€™m currently learning about quantum computing, finance, and programming.
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฏ Iโ€™m looking to collaborate on software development.
  • ๐Ÿค” Iโ€™m looking for help with algorithm design for quantum computers.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Ask me about high energy physics! (Or anything else really, don't be shy!)
  • ๐Ÿ“ซ How to reach me: LinkedIn
  • โšก Fun fact: I grow fruits, veggies, and herbs!

notestex's Issues

Define customize blocks

May I ask is it possible to define customize blocks?
Since I want to define new blocks like a corollary, proposition.

The suffix "V3" in style file name

The file "NotesTeX.tex" in zip has the following code in preamble area

\usepackage{NotesTeXV3,lipsum}

However, the style file in the same zip is named "NotesTeX.sty" without the suffix "V3", although it provides package by

\ProvidesPackage{NotesTeXV3}[2021/10/22 rV3]

My compilation failed and got following error message:

LaTeX Error: File `NotesTeXV3.sty' not found.

After I delete "V3" suffix, the compilation can be completed normally. I am not sure what is the
expected behavior of these different names.

My latex distribution is texlive in archlinux with version 2021.58710-2.

Include .bib in NotesTeX

Dear, Aditya Dhumuntarao, how are you?

Questions about:
Could you show (if possible an example) how to include .bib file in notestex?

My updates in NotesTeX:
I'm modifying the .sty file into Portuguese and include the following lines:
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[portuguese]{babel}

and include the following line (\NotesTeX):
\newcommand{\NotesTeX}{\textsc{N\kern-0.1emo\kern-0.017emtes}\kern-0.15em\TeX} %logo notestex

version 3

Hi, this latex class looks really nice.
We're just about to start writing a lecture script and I wonder if we should wait until version 3 comes out.
Can you tell if and when this will be the case, and can we do something to help it along?

Support for `biblatex` package

Hi,

Thank you for creating this great package! The typesetting it created is very beautiful!

It seems that \usepackage{NotesTeX} automatically loads natbib package to manage bibliographies. However, I am expecting to use biblatex for its additional features natbib does not have (see here for an example, which is not supported in natbib because of this).

I am wondering if there is any possibility an option provided in selecting which package to use?
