mobileshell's Issues

No updates since very long

I was wondering if the project is still alive?

i use it a lot but it lacks so much, Only thing i want is more updates.

add support for windows 11

hey there I never used mobile shell but I really wanna try it but the problem is, is that I use windows 11 canary channel, mid if you add support for windows 11?

Feature suggestion: Add Taskview button

Decided to throw your shell on my x86 tablet, looks wonderful but I noticed there's no good way to switch applications if I didn't have the keyboard connected. Perhaps add a Taskview button to the right of the search button? Or maybe a swipe gesture across the navigation bar to switch to the next or previous app?

On that note, perhaps also add a space to expose system tray icons, I can see the ability to manage the legacy notification icons (systray) being a huge thing for running Windows 10 on any device that can support Win32 based applications, such as OneDrive, EventGhost, Google Drive, etc.

As I said, the shell as it is now, is pretty impressive. Looking forward to reading your code! :D

UI Enhancement Proposal: Make use of the windows accent color in UI

I have code staged in a branch ready to be pushed and a pull request made if you like the sound of the idea.

How about giving it a little life through using the user's accent color? Currently I'm only proposing the Windows Logo button, as I'm not sure how tastefully it could be implemented otherwise at the moment. It's really as simple as a few extra lines in TaskbarWindow.xaml (adding the name parameter to the glyph) and TaskbarWindow.xaml.cs (adding some lines to set the coloring and then detect the changes in coloring).

I'm not entirely sure how to add a XAML animation similar to what Microsoft does with the hover animation on the start button so my current code simply colors the logo button at all times.

As stated, I have working code that can be merged in if you like the sound of the idea. As for adding the accent color to other elements, it's as simple as changing their fill property to equal SystemParameters.WindowGlassBrush.

Offtopic: not sure if you're eventually going to package this as an APPX/MSIX. But I also have some commits that have that completed as well, including a startup task, and an app execution alias. The icon of the package is intentionally left as the default "[X]" image since there's no icon for the project yet.

MobileShell future development short fast plan ๐Ÿฅฐ

Well, if developer (you my and our dear creator) makes another version of this project called for example "FullShell" that will be the main job to replace the whole Desktop UI, explorer.exe and etc... that exist in every Windows OS (including this one) to get Windows Phone UI permanently and to only way to be able to bring back default UI is to uninstall the FullShell can help people like me and others who running the full Windows 11 ARM on mobile phones to bring back old good Windows Phone UI (taskbar, desktop Metro UI home, status bar and etc...)

That would be so nice and powerful thing that we will be able to call the person who create it as our savior for Windows Phones after the long years of their EOL it's a raisen thanks to this project that exist.

Thank you so much in advance for participating in this!
