How do this work:
for (int i = 0; i < nr_arrays * 64; i++) {
data[i + payload_header_size] = *(data_p + i);
}

Why is it not
(data_p + i4), should it not be bytes? or do the pointer point in memory locations (32 bits) per location 🤔

there is some problem causing very high utilization of BRAM from the fifo when using a length of 32 or more. Fix this maybe something to do with the Width being 256(a lot). This is also what generates the negative slack.
