Linux port about open3mod HOT 4 OPEN

There's some challenges:

• WinForms looks weird under Mono.
• OpenGl bindings do exist, but behaviour varies a bit. I tried once and I didn't get open3mod to render anything under Mono.

With some time investment, it could certainly be ported.

Maybe it is easier to port the UI to Qt or GTK?

Most of open3mod core is actually UI code, so I doubt it would be a quick transition.

I'd be very happy to see a Linux port though, but I won't have time for it myself anytime soon.

Hello there -

I'm trying to port open3mod to Linux (and eventually OSX) in a fork I made. With some work I've been able to get it to compile, but I'm getting this stack trace when I go to run it. It seems like o3m is either opening a file that doesnt exist, or a file with bad info. I'm mostly a Java/Linux guy so some of this Windows UI stuff is new to me - but if you can just give me a broad pointer to what's going on here I can probably sort it out:
