So, apparently notify-send will accept and render some HTML tags in the message body of a notification. When Enhanced Desktop Notification sets the message to include the sender this may be Person Name <[email protected]>, which can trip up notify-send.

Here's the error from my log:

xfce4-notifyd: Failed to set text 'Banana <[email protected]>' from markup due to error parsing markup: Error on line 1 char 29: '[email protected]' is not a valid name: '@'

Can you HTML escape the message body before sending it to notify-send?

Thunderbird is removing support for legacy add-ons (including MailExtensions with legacy support).

See https://developer.thunderbird.net/add-ons/tb78 with tips and some help on how to convert current add-ons to full MailExtensions or Web Extensions which are the new default to come for many years.

Is that possible at all?

With version 2.0 the addon works again, but as described in the german post (https://www.thunderbird-mail.de/forum/thread/82781-lokaler-ordner-ausblenden/?postID=449334#post449334) the "Local Folders" entry might appears again.

For me it happened once after several days that Thunderbird was running constantly and I only put the laptop to sleep at night. Restarting Thunderbird fixes it, but sometimes you also have to disable and re-enable the add-on again or a combination.
I'll watch out for more details and try version 68.2.1 of Thunderbird.

Hi, your extensions are useful. I wonder if Mark Gmail Read may work with the newest Thunderbird version (68) or it has to be rewritten.

I'm looking for a chargeless contribution of one of leoncastro's addons, that used to hide
every blue accounts including local folders [+ always puting outbox above trash].
Your addon only hides local folders & died at tb v73. I'll attach a fixed version of
leon castro's abandoned addon if that can help you, but it stopped working
at tb 72 or 73 i guess.

I told myself you had more experience in hiding folders since you created such addon.

the native TB notification has the setting of its time.
EDN time is too short and no (GUI) setting for it. I suggest two options:

1. just get TB notification time
2. have own setting

Is there any possibility these extensions (ie. Mark Gmail Read) will be converted to the new format and become compatible with Thunderbird 60+?
