*Have access to sibling names and grades on a student's Demographic or Family 
and Parental tabs.  It would also be very helpful to be able to do sibling 
searches by student name, if possible
*It would be helpful to be able to identify whose cell phone number is listed 
on the Demographics tab
*Be able to generate reports/searches on all data in database, such as by phone 
number, parent name to identify student, email address
*Be able to identify the eldest sibling in a family (for example, if a family 
of four students is to receive a newsletter, we could identify the eldest 
student in order to send the newsletter to one rather than four students)
*Sections to identify information such as if a student is in ESL, has an IEP, 
medical alerts such as allergies or discipline
*It would also be helpful to have a slot to insert extensions for phone numbers 
to more quickly reach parents (at work for example).

We need a way to track students missing documents such as enrollment documents. 

Should allow admins to upload documents, get reports and show students what is 
missing and what is required.

There should be an order for it.
 - There should only be one primary contact
 - There should be a primary contact before creating secondary or emergency
 - Students with missing contact should be given in attention

ReportCardsOutput.aspx gives an error

Some high schools show quarter grades in report cards, some dont. 
Give user the option to select what to show in report cards including 
attendance numbers, quarter/semester grades, gpa etc. 

Sprite images should be used in all icon used areas such as css generated 
spans, divs and rad menu. 

Academic semester and term will be lookup.
Users will be able to create 4 semesters per year and 4 quarters per semester. 
Adding a new semester or quarter will be controlled with our UI such as:
1. Semester in 2010-1011
2. Semester in 2011-2012

2. Term in 3. Semester of 2010-2011

Give option to repeat the same assignments every -day, -week, -month etc.

It should show and also allow teachers to modify grades in an excel like grid. 

Teachers should be able to submit their weekly lesson plans in the system.

In grade assignment page, add an option to set the same grade for all students 
such as Set all: Complete or Set all: 40

Add an option to grade by student. 
In my grade book page clicking on student name should list all the assignments 
given in selected class so teacher may grade all given assignments for the 
student. 

Also add an option to set them all Excused. 

Add an extension box by the work phone for parents/emergency contacts.

Create a new field that will allow users to select how they want grades 
calculated per class. 
Right now, for high school system calculates by semester and for middle and 
elementary it calculates by quarter. 

With the enhancement users will have the option to set on high school class to 
consider quarter and other one semester while calculating grades. 

Similar to student required documents. 
System should keep tract of staff required documents and should show and allow 
them to upload/update their records such as trancript, resume, licences etc.

Admins should be able to get reports easily.

Authorized people should be allowed to add news for teachers or parents that 
will show in users dashboard.

Add a link on assignment average number to list all students and their grades 
for the assignment. 

Create student discipline report to show 
Referral details including , actions taken , offenses  by students 
Create a user control to filter students to be used with the report

Show users the total number of re+ new enrolled students with a link. when 
clicked show the number of students in each grade level and grade level/section 
combination

If the assignment has been graded, warn the user that all given grades for the 
assignment will be deleted and if user proceeds delete grades then delete 
assignment.

Only one shared css to hold shared styles and one for each theme we will 
introduce such as summer, winter, spring...

Add auto complete functionality in report card comment area. 
jquery auto complete plugin may be used. 

Right now dashboard shows the current number of absent, excused absent etc 
students for the day. Add a link on each number to show the list of the 
students in each category. 
Show students as a list view with photo and home phone number.

A way to create and view student seating chart for a given class.

Report card should show only the attendance before  the selected term.

As of now it show the current attendance without looking at the selected term.

My grade book shows the percent student currently holds. Add a link on it that 
will show all given assignments and student grades (such as assignment grade 
report directly from my grade book page)

Use cache manager for all lookup tables.
Make sure cached objects are killed if the cached collection changes with an 
update or delete or add.

IF the grade type is  letter grade average is not showing any value after 
grading

StudentClassAssignments.aspx doesnt work

Set built in items and separate them from the custom created ones. Add IsHidden 
field so users may select what grade levels to show and what to hide. 

Change data structure to shortdescription, longdescription, index etc 
structure. 

Assignments which are not due should have a different color

Weighting is mandatory by default. 
Give users option to make it optional for their school. 

Each grade type item interval has to be validated before save. 
If there is a gap between intervals or a overlap user should be notified.

Change attendance status table to it could be modified by the users. Add 
IsBuiltin field to separate built in items from the custom ones. 

If a class is using weighting in grading policy, bonus percent should be set to 
a static percent. 
Not applicable to classes that are not using weighting. 

This bonus percent will be directly added at the end into student earned 
percent. 

schools should be able to manage (add/edit/delete) the lookup table items for 
attendance, discipline and activity type entities. 

in attendance they should be able to create their own attendance codes.
in activity; activity type with its merits points etc.
in discipline; discipline reasons and prior actions, and even levels for 
reasons.

We need several reports to show daily attendance. 
One should show all statuses including present for the selected day.
One list all students and days and mark P, A, AE for each student for each day. 
One should show the total number of students for the day and daily attendance 
percent and overall attendance percent.

1.create a student and set his status as new enrolled
2.enroll student into classes
3.set student status to applied

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Applied students can not appear in attendance or gradebook pages. Right now if 
a student is active and has enrollment he/she appears in gradebook and 
attendance. System does not do status check assuming an applied student can not 
be enrolled into any class. By following the steps above this is possible. So 
changing the status of an enrolled student with enrollment record into applied 
should be impossible.

attendacesini kendi accountimizda gormek istiyoruz. Cogu zaman bir ogrenci 
gercekten benim derste absent mi yada dersi mi skip mi ediyor bilemiyoruz. ve 
bunu figure out etmek icin bir mail trafigine giriyoruz, sekretere ve diger 
ogretmenlerle iletisime geciyoruz. Secreter ile gorustum onlar ogrenci basina 
saatlik attendaci gorebiliyor , mumkunse ogretmen accountunada  boyle bir 
erisim verebilirmisiniz. Boylelikle eger ogrenci gercekten skip ediyorsa 
gerekli islemi aninda yapariz.  Yada hangi periyottan itibaren absent 
anlayabiliriz.

100 chars seems to be not enough. 
extend it to 150 or 200 chars with a countdown showing how many chars left.

There is gotta be custom fields for the user object. 
Applies to all students, staff and even parents. 

Something similar to google contact in which you may add several email 
addresses or phone numbers along with custom fields. 

If a student is tardy for school tardy status should not be carried over to 
period attendance screens. 

Right now if system finds a daily attn entry for the student, uses that value 
in period attn also. So even in 7th period student status will be shown as 
tardy because he/she was tardy in the morning. That doesnt really make sense. 
Only absent, ex absent kind of status codes should be carried over. 

Also adding a note such as "set by Mrs. Brown/admin/front desk" would be 
helpful for teacher while taking period attendance. 

Dont show a grade for a class that has no submitted grade for the 
quarter/semester OR submitted grade is older than 5 days of quarter end date.

Show submitted grades in report card and calculate gpa using submitted grades.  

Special notes to add specific and maybe some private info about a student such 
as Parent/guardian he/she is not supposed to see or his/her allergies or some 
special conditions. 
Just a simple text area would be enough i believe.
Students with special notes should be easily identified in manage screen;maybe 
a link stating there is special notes in an alert box.

maybe an option for admins to enable/disable grade submission for classes. 

right now, it is always there. maybe admins should have an to enable it at 
certain dates which would also notify teachers about it. 
when admins disable it for the class, nobody will be able to submit grades 
anymore. 

Have only one master page using a yaml or yui css layout
Derive all other pages from this master page.
