Need a cleaner way to deal with aborted async ops.

I've been running into issues with aborted connections and RPC clients / servers going out of scope before all pending callbacks have been triggered.

The obvious options for addressing this are:

  • Wait until pending ops complete. (Pros: Trivial code. Cons: May cause deadlock!)
  • Add support for deregistering an async operation via a dequeue() function and instrument existing code.
  • Work on improving the error handling case for the Future class and deal with issues as they come up.

My current vote goes to dequeue() but I'll sit on this for a day or so and mull over potential edge cases and what not.
