For the "Submit a talk" page we need content and a form to submit a talk.

• Announce second meetup on front page
• Add new talks once they are confirmed

Currently, the site is missing the following meta elements needed for better presentation when someone share the URL to Twitter or FB:

• <meta content="" property="twitter:image">
• <meta content="" property="og:image">

Maybe for now a simple collage with the logo will be just fine 🙂

I think we need a legal page (Impressum) but I am not really sure.

There was an idea shared by @marcus-herrmann for a self-hosted chat as an alternative for our current Slack group. Maybe https://rocket.chat/ which we can also link or integrate into our website.

Add a code of conduct - see for example: http://berlincodeofconduct.org/

The site is ready now to be published. The last step ist to configure everything so it can be reached under: https://a11y-meetup-berlin.de

Also please make sure that https is enabled by default.

As suggested by @radibit we should add an explanation about the web accessibility to our about page

Motivation

I was thinking of moving the website to https://www.gatsbyjs.org/. The main motivation is a better management of the dependencies (there are constant security issues with the Ruby dependencies), improved performance and possibility for an offline mode, PWA-ready, and JS ❤️

Add a mailto link to [email protected] in the contact section in the footer.

@josefie Do you have an icon for email, similiar to the one for twitter, meetup, github we can use there?

The performance of the site is already pretty good. One thing we could do to increase it even is more is to inline the CSS. As the CSS is really small as are our pages, we can inline all CSS.
