Python Versions Status

This repository contains:

  1. Python notebook to get data from Outlook Calendar
  2. Tableau workbook to visualize the Calendar Data

Background

Start Date: January 2021, End Date: Jun 2021

Current Situation: There is no tool to extract calendar data from Outlook events and visualize it.

Goal: To provide a data analytics workflow for Outlook Calendar data.

In scope

  1. Get Outlook Calendar data using Python
  2. Visualize Calendar data using Tableau
  3. Visualize Calendar data using Python

Installation

I recommend to create a conda virtual environment with python version 3.7 or higher Tableau desktop

Possible errors

Usage

Run the jupyter notebook specifying the date range to extract data A csv file with the calendar analytics will be created. Open the Tableau workbook to visualize the data

Possible errors while running the app

Next steps

  • Create Dashboard with Python instead of Tableau
  • Use the data to optimize time management
