i'd expect this input to include the empty lines, but they are stripped

I'm using command-line-args and command-line-usage in my Ionic 4 browser app. It appears there is no process.stdout / stderr defined when using Ionic so table-layout fails on instantiation.
Changing the following:
let ttyWidth = (process && (process.stdout.columns || process.stderr.columns)) || 0
to:
let ttyWidth = (process.stdout && (process.stdout.columns || process.stderr.columns)) || 0

solves it. I think process will always be available?!

Don't want to be a nag about this :P but since 0.12 is now out of maintenance, can it be dropped from support? It'd be great to excise core-js from our dependencies.

i like this simple table module. i am just missing an option to print the property names as column headers.

command-line-usage v7 was just released, which depends on v3 of this library, but this library appears to depend on v6 of command-line-usage, which creates a lot of duplication. See: https://npmgraph.js.org/?q=command-line-usage

Any chance this library could also bump its dependency? (Or, not cycle?)

I was having some trouble with inconsistent tests using Jest snapshots and I eventually discovered that process.stdout.columns and process.stderr.columns are not always available.

nodejs/node#2333 is an example of this.

You might want to update your width calculations to handle this situation. I'm trying to do some workarounds but so far haven't had any luck.
