bug: translation api return weird text

Description

the translation doesn't work properly. return repeating and garbled text.

Steps to reproduce

  • type something on the input bar
  • press translate
  • output received shown garbled text

Ideas

i have talked to the malaysia ai team regarding this issues. husein said it might have something to do with the huggingface inference api. for context, currently how the translation is done through an inference API using Huggingface. and it seems that the inference for the t5 model somehow broken.

Potential solution

one way is to use transformersjs and follow the step given by the mesolitica team for the model.
