Recently published a documentary film based on my essay The Disappearance of Lived Time.

Drawing from Debord and Heidegger, this film examines our subjective experience of time throughout history. It reveals how the relentless pursuit of productivity has shaped society and our perceptions of time, creating a perpetual present driven by an autonomous economy and accelerated by surveillance capitalism. The film explores the societal obsession with busyness and advocates for reclaiming time and leisure to foster true human flourishing.

The Disappearance of Lived Time

Published a new edition of Guy Debord's 1967 book, The Society of the Spectacle, out on █ Unredacted Word.

refactor templates from using `page` to `post`

The Jekyll docs state that "posts" should live in the _posts directory.

Posts living in _posts/webmentions/**/* are treated like pages in the templates

  • Move posts in _posts/webmentions/**/* to _posts/
  • refactor templates in _includes/*.html to reference posts variable instead of pages variable where appropriate

refactor `_my_tags` to use jekyll tags

Tags are defined in a _my_tags directory. These should use normal jekyll tags

Similar to categories, one or multiple tags can be added to a post. Also like categories, tags can be specified as a YAML list or a space-separated string.

tags: [essays, projects]
  • remove tag definition from _config.yml
  • _my_tags tag definitions should be moved to appropriate place

RSS/Atom Feed

A feed would let people read your articles from the comfort of their cosy feed reader. Also would let them know when there a new one.
